Dr Grant Mathieson

University of Adelaide

Grant is a research fellow in Prof Losic’s group working on developing graphene-enhanced anti-corrosive paint with industry partner, Graphene Technology Solutions. He finished most of an Honours degree in human physiology before graduating with an Honours degree Physics from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He then switched to electrical and electronic engineering, graduating Masters by Thesis at the University of Canterbury, NZ, and in 2006 he completed an industry-based PhD, in Chemistry, Materials science and Process Engineering from the University of Waikato, NZ. After several years conducting research with the NZ-equivalent of CSIRO Grant embarked on journeys with a series of start-ups/commercial R&D collaborations in various parts of the world. This research resulted in the production of numerous products for different organisations including imgne® X3 geotextile graphene technology that is currently used in the electrically-conductive commercial Geofabrics product Bidim-C.
